The sixteenth hole, named Gibralter (meaning rock wall), had the tee area built on rock. The Pacific Gas and Electric tower and wires in the middle of this fairway have provoked much discussion through the years as Orinda has considered moving the tower to the area between the sixteenth and seventeenth fairways. For economic reasons, the move has never been made.
